Hi everyone, welcome to my blog post for the Summer of Love Blog Hop! π So glad to have you stop by. I’m giving away three copies of my debut paranormal romance IF TOMORROW NEVER COMES
One of my favorite summer destinations is one I unfortunately don’t get to go to often enough – the beach! Is there really anything better then being near the water on a really hot day? Nothing like the feeling of walking barefoot on the hot sand, finding the perfect spot and just relaxing. A good book, a drink or two, a little music and snacks and I’m pretty well a happy camper.
Since I’m nowhere near a really good beach anymore, I try to make the most out of the backyard. I’ve got a good little area underneath one of the big old pine trees, it’s branches are cut a good ten or more feet high so it makes a great canopy. There’s cedar chips on the ground which makes it nice and soft to walk on, and there’s two comfortable chairs underneath, with a table between, perfect to rest a cold pink lemonade on. It’s not the beach, but it’s a nice spot to get a lot of reading done π Plus I’m surrounded by beautiful flowers and the occasional wild rabbit hopping through trying to steal a strawberry or two or nibble on some flower leaves. π
What’s your favorite summer destination or reading spot? Are you lucky enough to be near a great beach? Go ahead and make me jealous. That could be why a lot of my characters love the beach. I get to live vicariously through them. π
Sounds great! Thanks for the chance to win!
Thanks for stopping by the blog, Erika! π
Sounds like a great book. I don’t live near a beach, but I love to just sit outside and read.
Thanks Pam! It’s nice to be outside in the summer, isn’t it? Only bad part is the mosquitoes!
Sounds like a great summer book! Thanks for the giveaway.
Thanks for stopping by, BookLady π
I live in Oklahoma! There’s not a beach, altho there are lots of lakes, ponds, etc. with water front. But we don’t go to the lake. I’m not really an outdoors kinda person — I might sit outside and read if the weather isn’t too hot, but usually my reading spot is a comfy chair or sofa. The last couple of summers have been hot; this summer has been rainy – but I’ll never complain about the rain!
IF TOMORROW NEVER COMES sounds like an interesting read.
Hi Donna! Thanks for stopping by the blog π Love the way the air smells after a good rain. Up here we don’t usually get that hot, although we have had a couple hotter than normal days this year. A good chair is a definite must for reading.
My favorite reading spot during the summer is my air conditioned bedroom. Lol! I am not a fan of the heat. Thanks for the giveaway!!
lol Gotta love air conditioning, especially on those really hot days! π Thanks for stopping by the blog, Caroline!

Sorry, I can’t make you jealous. I don’t live any where near a beach and if I did it would have to be one where it was nice and cool all the time. I don’t like the heat or the sun very much, so my favorite place during the summer would have to be my bed with a good book. Thanks for sharing the hop and the giveaway. evamillien at gmail dot com
Thanks for stopping by, Eva. A comfortable bed with a good book is definitely a favorite spot of mine too. π
the couch
Sounds comfy π
I’m with you! Summers are meant to be spent on warm beaches with sand squishing through your toes
There’s nothing like that feeling, is there? Instant relaxation. π Thanks for stopping by the blog, Veronica!
