Help!!

Posted on

Okay Microsoft Word is making me crazy. I’m trying to format what I have so far of one manuscript and its not cooperating. Its putting entire paragraphs on the next page when there’s more than enough room for it to fit on the same page. I’m just hoping the formatting wasn’t this bad on the partials I’ve subbed or I’m going to look like an idiot.

Does anyone know how to fix this? I’m obviously clueless and new to Word so I don’t know where half the settings are. I miss works!!

  1. Sounds like it could be either page breaks, or widows and orphans. I can never remember how to remove these, so if you tap the names into the search facility of the assistant (in the help section) it might give you some steps to follow.

    Good luck!

  2. Do you have your template set for 25 lines per page? That might help.

Also, some templates like to keep paragraphs together, so you might want to shorten your paragraphs.

Or yes, you might have a page break stuck in there.

  3. What Julie said. Mark your formatting for 25 lines per pages and check the page breaks. If you want to, e-mail me if you still have problems.
