*glances up* A day late huh?
So yesterday was Canada Day and unlike a lot of flag waving Canucks I don’t quite celebrate it. I prefer to indulge my 1/8 or 1/16 American side at times lol
We got an email from a friend of ours yesterday morning inviting us over so we went over about 9 last night. Was nice, talked for awhile, went outside to watch the fireworks at midnight but didn’t see any then headed out to Tim Horton’s for a midnight snack. (talk about celebrating in Canuck fashion lol) But since I’m not a big fan of their food, I had a can of coke and an apple fritter.
As I finished my Fathers Day special I kept thinking about what could’ve made that woman cry. Did she lose a young child years ago? Did a grandson or granddaughter recently die? Did her father pass away? Did Jaxon remind her of someone?
We paid the check, hopped on our bikes and cruised down to the park. Jaxon went on the swings and laughed out loud the entire time. Later, a large wind came across and the leaves rustled loudly. To me it sounded like a round of applause, for a beautiful little boy and a sad old lady with a heart full of memories.
