Deflated

Posted on

Woke up this morning to a rejection (or as my dad following an episode of Oprah prefers I call it, a personal critique) of Sabrina. This from the dream agency who’d had it for ten weeks. Apparently it was ‘highly entertaining’ and ‘a great core idea’ but they found it somewhat predictable. So I’m feeling just a wee bit lost at the moment. Oh and I should query them in the future…

Not sure what to do.

I had a blog post that got eaten by netscape this week that was about dark para vs light para and if there really was a market for the lighter stuff… and now I’m trying to decide what to write. To keep trying the lighter side and hope to grab someone’s attention when I finish off Harley (and there is still that other partial of Sab floating around NYC) or go the darker route. I don’t know. What I do know though, is I am off on vacation. Following a mini-meltdown this afternoon courtesy of tylenol cold syrup, I’m taking a few days off. Clean out the bookshelf a little, tackle cleaning out the bedroom and maybe just maybe, organize the office. So if you don’t hear from me, I just might be buried under my TBR pile. That 7 foot high double wide bookshelf is pretty darn heavy *g*

Sorry to hear about the “personal critique” (I like that term!) but I’m glad you got some nice comments and feedback. I certainly think there’s a market for light paranormal, specifically in the US. Don’t be discouraged!
